About Us

Kroo Bay is full of capable people, but capability without access rarely turns into income. The Hub was created to close that distance, giving people a place to build practical skills, earn from real production, and gain a stable living.

Meet the Team

The Skills Hub is led by two social entrepreneurs from the community, supported by a local team that brings together mentorship, operations, finance, marketing, and community connection.

In collaboration with SAG!

In our Family Business, we believe that true leadership means taking responsibility – for our people, for society, and for the generations to come. The Sierra Leone Leadership Project reflects this belief in a very tangible way. It allows us to combine leadership development with meaningful social impact, turning our values into action.

By working together with local partners and social entrepreneurs in Sierra Leone, we are not only supporting access to education and sustainable perspectives for local communities – we are also challenging and developing our own leaders. Stepping out of familiar environments, learning from different cultures, and co‑creating solutions to real societal challenges strengthens empathy, responsibility, and long‑term thinking.

This project represents what SAG and AKW stand for: learning by doing, leading with purpose, and creating impact beyond our own organisation.

And Bookbridge

At BOOKBRIDGE, we believe that the world needs more purpose-driven leaders — and that social entrepreneurship is one of the most powerful and sustainable models for creating lasting change. When local entrepreneurs are given the right support, trust, and resources, they don't just build businesses — they rebuild communities from within.

To develop these leaders and bring this belief to life, BOOKBRIDGE does not run classrooms. It creates real experiences: corporate professionals work shoulder to shoulder with local social entrepreneurs to co-create enterprises that improve the job and life chances of people in disadvantaged communities. What makes the model powerful is that learning and impact happen at the same time. Participants do not simulate entrepreneurship — they practice it, in real conditions, with real stakes, and return to their organizations transformed.

To date, BOOKBRIDGE has developed 1,232 purpose-driven leaders, co-created 170 social enterprises across 18 countries, and positively impacted more than 254,000 people.
